Christmas Planning Tips 🎁

1. Create a Gift List – that way you will have a clear idea of how many Christmas presents you will need to buy this year.
2. Think of Christmas Menu – make a list of everything you are going to need, and start ticking off the items as you buy them.
3. Get New Tableware – hang those coffee-stained mugs back on the mug tree, because Christmas is all about etiquette and tradition.
4. Set Weekly Goals – so that you can spread the cost over the next weeks and save money when you watch for sales.
5. Plan In Advance – secure your Christmas delivery slot if you shop online / book Christmas venues and events before it’s too late.
6. Write Christmas Cards – you can save money by being organised and posting your cards early using second class stamps.
7. Stock Up on Sellotape – treat yourself to a proper sellotape dispenser, as it will help with speeding up your wrapping process.
8. Check Available Now Section – these pieces will make beautiful last-minute gifts for people you may have forgotten.
Finding the perfect gift for someone is HARD. Especially, when it’s your mother-in-law, who “doesn’t want anything this year, just having you is enough”. Or a complete stranger from your office that you got matched to for Secret Santa, with whom you have no interests in common (you know exactly who we are talking about!).
Science has taught us that giving gifts to others makes us happier than spending that same amount of money on yourself. Sometimes we give gifts because we know the recipients will love and appreciate them. Sometimes we give gifts out of obligation. And other times we browse through the shops seeking gifts that our loved ones are unlikely to treasure for more than a few moments. Gifting is a love language that anyone needs to learn how to speak. Especially during this festive season!
